They also met with tourism sector representatives to coordinate efforts that would guarantee success of this new service. The Delta Airlines fifty-passenger Embraer will provide service twice daily, five days a week. | | | | | | | Moreno emphasized that the new service would have many more advantages than increased traffic from the Los Angeles region. It could also serve as a hub for travel to the United States as well as the rest of the world. A great numbers of visitors to Tijuana, Rosarito and Ensenada come from the Los Angeles area. In 2006 Tijuana’s International Airport recorded 50,000 air operations with over 3.7 million passengers.
